|Surface Tension is music recorded between 2005-2008. I played all of the instruments including: acoustic guitar, electric guitar, drum machine programing, electronic
drum set, electric bass, acoustic electric bass, electronic percussion and keyboard. Tunes were recorded on either an analog 4-track machine or an 8-track digital
machine and one was done on the computer. All individual tracks were played in real time and were recorded, produced and engineered in my home studio with no
outside production or mastering.
|Get In The Loop
|Get In The Loop was recorded over a two week period in the summer of 2008. All tunes on this album were recorded "live" in the studio in
real time directly to two tracks using improvisation and a looping device. No overdubs, eq or other processing were used after the tracks
were recorded. What you hear is exactly the way it went down except for some linear editing that was done for continuity and because of
time constraints (even a great looping song can get monotonous when it is 18 or more minutes long).
|Voyager is my latest release as of November 2014. VOYAGER is a collection of tunes recorded in the 6 years since my last
two releases in 2008 (Surface Tension and Get in the Loop). Surface Tension was done in the multitrack format and Get in the Loop was
done entirely by looping. With VOYAGER, I wanted to show my progression in both techniques.
Just as each person's voyage through life is unique, so is my music. I play what I feel, without pandering to what is current or trendy. This
album is a journey through the past 6 years of my life, and its joys, trials, laughter and sorrows. It reflects my growth as a musician, and more
importantly, as a man, a husband, and a father.
I am very proud of the improvement in my playing and production skills on this album. Throughout the process of recording, mixing, mastering,
editing, listening, listening and listening again, I still enjoy hearing this music. Hopefully you will like it also.
